a demonstration of resilience

I've been thinking about resilience lately, considering the elastic ability of the mind and heart to conform and spring back after it's been battered around and trampled on. It's easy to forget that we have the capacity to recover even from what seem to be the bleakest of situations. We all have the capacity to change and adjust, some of us better than others. I'm not sure what it is that has changed in the last few weeks/months to make me more accepting of the recent changes in my life, but whether it be a renewal of pollyanna tendencies, my fantastic friends (both old and new), or recent opportunities at work that have come about due to my own initiative, I am thankful for them.
