documentary recommendation

Last night W. and I watched a marvelous documentary called Before Stonewall. It gave an excellent overview of the gay and lesbian history before the Stonewall riots in 1969. I highly recommend it to everyone. It was extremely well done, with really excellent interviews as well as archival footage and visuals. I was absolutely raving about it after we finished watching it. It was a totally random find, as W. found it in the bargain bin at our local Blockbuster.

We also watched Sideways... huge waste of time.

Anyhow, if you ever come across Before Stonewall, watch it... especially the special features with Allen Ginsberg.
